Another great Fond Du Lac Brewfest was held this past Saturday, Feb. 7th.  In addition to all the awesome craft breweries that were serving up samples this year, there were 13 homebrew clubs attending the Brewfest, among them were the SOB’s.  A competition took place for best homebrews, craft brews and wines of the night, voted by the participants.  We’re proud to say that a couple SOB’s took those awards for best homebrews!  Scott Westhpfahl (pictured right) brewed an Oatmeal Stout with bacon and cold steeped espresso that he called “Breakfast in a Bottle”.  Richard Cardenas (pictured left) brewed “BBS” (Bourbon Breakfast Stout), an Oatmeal Stout brewed with brown sugar, maple syrup, coffee, bourbon and bacon.
